Think in networks, not funnels
Hiring, fundraising, clients, customers: the problem underneath is almost always the network. Why I build ReacherX around that idea.
Every people problem sounds different, but underneath it's usually the same problem.
You want to hire an engineer. Where do you find one who has actually shipped payments? You're raising a round. Which partner has backed companies like yours? You freelance. Where is the next client? You built a product. Who needs it?
Different situations, same shape. The hard part is rarely the message. The hard part is knowing the right people, or getting access to them.
The network is the asset
There's an old line: your network is your net worth. I keep coming back to it because it survives every tool cycle. Contact databases, scrapers, campaign software: all of them treat people as rows to message. A network is the opposite of a row. It's people plus the reasons they're connected: shared work, shared problems, shared communities.
When you have a real network, opportunities arrive without you hunting for them. When you don't, every search starts from zero. Most outreach tools optimize the message at the end of that process. I care about the beginning: finding the people who should be in your network in the first place.
