Who is ReacherX for?

A tool for finding the people you need, whether you are building a business, hiring, researching, or starting a community.

ReacherX has become a weird kind of product. It finds people, checks whether they're relevant, gathers information about them, helps you manage those people, and lets you talk to them. I've had feedback that it's not clear who it's really for.

That's fair. Let me explain what I'm trying to build and who I have in mind.

I'm making this for people like me

I am a developer and designer myself. I am trying to build a tool that is powerful yet simple enough that a normal person can use it without having to learn sales or have expertise in marketing.

I think ReacherX is a good fit for small and early teams. New startups, three or four people who are just starting out and want to find the people they're looking for. It's also for a one-person team. Since ReacherX is still pretty early, I don't think it's ready for bigger teams and organizations yet.

You should be able to tell it who you need and why you need them. It should help with finding those people, understanding whether they're relevant, and figuring out how to approach them. That is what I'm working towards. You'll still need to look at the results and correct it when it gets something wrong.

This isn't only a sales problem

The problem of finding the right people and getting access to them is not just a problem focused on sales. People are too focused on sales when thinking about tools like this.

Let's take hiring. You want to hire the right people. What's the challenge? Finding them and being able to talk to them. Looking to raise funds? You have a similar problem, but now you need investors who are interested in what you're building.

Or maybe you're not building a company at all. You want people to join your community, someone to interview for research, or a guest for your podcast. Those are all reasons you might need help finding people.

ReacherX has a use case for each of these. Each one gets its own workspace, so a hiring search and a customer search don't mix.

I want the tool to do more of the work

I'm inspired by Cursor a lot when it comes to how the app should work. Cursor has plans and autocomplete. ReacherX has plans and autocomplete too. As a developer, I've seen how useful that kind of help can be, and I want people outside software development to have useful tools for their problems as well.

In ReacherX today, △ Agent can search X/Twitter and LinkedIn, check possible matches, gather background, and prepare individual outreach plans. You can discuss a plan and change it before carrying it out. Sending requires review by default; autonomous mode allows supported sending without another approval.

The person's profile also has their supported conversation. You can use relevant images, videos, and your own voice notes in outreach. I want you to be able to see the person you're talking to and understand what they need.

Personally, I hate it when people only reach out because they want to sell something. I'd much rather we had a culture of helping people, where someone offers their product or service because it actually helps the other person. That's the balance I want to get right with ReacherX.

Try it, and tell me where it falls short

I released v4 beta on June 29, 2026. It's still beta; the roadmap shows what's planned.

Start with something you actually need to do. The getting-started guide walks through setup. If it finds the wrong people or something is confusing, tell me what you expected in Discord. That is much more useful to me than a vague rating.

And if you want to work on this with me, here's where contributors can help. I don't expect to solve every part of this on my own.
